Casey Nguyen

As Development Coordinator, Casey helps to identify prospective institutional donors, craft grant proposals and reports, and bridge the communication and collaboration between the Development, Data, and Program Teams. Casey joined OppNet as a Graduate Development Intern in 2017, diving right into researching new grant prospects, drafting proposals and reports, and contributing to OppNet’s diversity, equity, and inclusion dialogue. Before OppNet, she worked on several research projects at Teachers College, including an interdepartmental curriculum mapping project focused on issues of race, ethnicity, and inter-cultural understanding and an NSF grant-funded study on college outcomes for students from low-income communities at a Philadelphia magnet school. Casey holds an M.A. in Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.S. in Community & Regional Development and a B.A. Asian American Studies from the University of California, Davis.
