Richard H. Yun is a Principal at Phoenix Merchant Partners, a private investment firm focused on middle-market and later-stage growth businesses. Most recently, he was a Director for the Office of the CEO & CIO at ORIX USA after serving as a Director of HR Strategy and Chief of Staff where he oversaw human capital strategic projects and advised the Compensation Committee as a liaison since 2020.
Before joining ORIX, he was a Vice President of Executive Compensation Strategy & Planning at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where his team was responsible for managing the Operating Committee’s compensation as well as CD&A of the annual proxy statement while engaging with shareholders and proxy advisors on voting policies. Prior to the role, Richard was a Vice President of Asset & Wealth Management overseeing global compensation since 2015. Earlier in his career, he was an Analyst at GLG.
Richard earned his B.S. in Finance and Management from State University of New York at Albany and completed an Economics exchange program at Seoul National University in South Korea. He also holds M.S. in OB Systems and Analytics from New York University.
