Born and raised in the Bronx, Cindy Persad has dedicated her career to supporting students from diverse backgrounds. As Senior Coordinator, Internships & Career success, Cindy manages and builds relationships with OppNet's employer partners and works closely with our college Fellows to place them into best-fit internship and enrichment opportunities. Prior to joining OppNet, Cindy previously worked at Liberty LEADS, East Harlem Tutorial Program, and the Posse Foundation. She also has several years of experience as a campus recruiter building relationships and helping companies find strong talent for their internship programs. Cindy attended NYU where she received a Bachelors of Science in Applied Psychology and a Masters in Counseling and Guidance. She is Dominican-American, a classic introvert, and a fan of musical theater.
