Jo Rivera is currently a Senior Digital Marketing Associate at DonorsChoose. She is a member of the OppNet Class of 2020 and graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Why I joined the ALC: The OppNet community supported me a great deal throughout high school and college and I hope to pay it forward to this community — both Fellows and alumni — by being a part of the ALC.
A favorite book: Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez. I appreciated the Nuyorican representation — this book gave me the chance to see parts of my identity represented.
