David Silva

David Silva is an Alum of the OppNet Class of 2021 and graduated from Babson College that same year with a B.S. in Finance and Anthropology. He began his career at Deloitte Consulting as an Analyst on the M&A and Restructuring team where he worked with both private equity and Fortune 500 clients. After Deloitte, he joined a boutique Swedish consulting firm as a Growth Operations Associate, supporting digital learning and simulation-based transformation work. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, and playing team sports.

Why he joined the Alumni Leadership Council: I joined the ALC because OppNet has had a profound impact on my life, both personally and professionally. The community, mentorship, and opportunities I gained through OppNet shaped my path in ways I’m deeply grateful for. Serving on the ALC feels like a meaningful way to give back by helping strengthen the alumni community, fostering genuine connections, and ensuring OppNet continues to be a place where people feel supported and empowered.

A favorite book: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I was drawn in by the emotion and vivid imagery, and by how deeply human the story feels as it follows the lives of its two main characters. I read the book when I was about fifteen, and I remember being completely absorbed, each page more compelling than the last. It stayed with me because it taught me a lot about empathy, perspective, and resilience at a formative age.
