Director of People and Culture

The Director of People and Culture will lead OppNet’s people operations, shaping the policies, practices, and workplace culture that enable staff to thrive and the organization to fulfill its mission. As OppNet’s senior HR practitioner, the Director will oversee day-to-day people operations, support and develop managers, guide staff through organizational change, and strengthen the systems and practices that support an effective, equitable, and values-driven workplace. The Director will also supervise the Senior Coordinator of People and Culture.

With a new CEO expected to join in early 2027, the Director will also help support a smooth leadership transition, including welcoming and integrating the incoming CEO with staff. This work will build on the Director’s broader responsibility to foster continuity, navigate change, and ensure that OppNet’s people practices and culture continue to support the organization’s mission and long-term success.

Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Events

The Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Events is a key member of the Strategic Advancement team at OppNet and drives multiple collaborative projects that balance fundraising and programmatic goals.

Reporting to the Director of Development, Corporate Partnerships and Events, the Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Events is responsible for holistic management of a portfolio of corporate supporters, including the execution of employee engagement opportunities and bespoke sponsorship events. The Manager will be the primary point of contact for all Night of Opportunity Gala donors and will provide high-touch support through clear and effective communication and management of sponsorship benefits and participation.

The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization and attention to detail, project management skills, initiative and resourcefulness, professionalism and discretion, and the ability to think creatively.

Development Operations and Donor Engagement Manager

The Development Operations and Donor Engagement Manager plays a key role in strengthening and executing OppNet’s fundraising and engagement efforts. Reporting to the Director of Development Operations and Donor Engagement, the Manager leads the day-to-day execution of core Development operations, annual giving and donor engagement, and volunteer engagement.

The Manager works across the Development team and in close partnership with Programs, Communications, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure strong fundraising practices are consistently executed, donor and volunteer relationships are thoughtfully stewarded, and the team has the processes and information needed to advance OppNet’s goals.

Graduate Intern, Internships and Career Success

We are looking to hire an exceptional Graduate Intern to assist the OppNet Fellows Program in the preparation and coordination of our summer of in-house programming. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in engaging in an innovative, six-year early college readiness and career development program supporting students in New York City. The Graduate Intern will support the Internships & Career Success team with best-fit placement of high school Fellows into summer opportunities, communicating with colleagues and Fellows regularly. This role will support overall high school programming throughout the spring semester, in preparation for leading operations for in-house programs come summer.

The position will require a commitment of 10-15 hours per week to start and build to 20-29 hours per week by June. The 10-20 hours/week for January-May is flexible based on the candidate’s scheduling needs. The position will be hybrid, with 1 day/week in-person at our Manhattan office required during January-May, and 3-4 days/week in-person June-August.
