Allison Zhao

As Senior Coordinator, Student Services and Program Operations, Allison works with high school juniors from admission to matriculation in their first year of the OppNet Fellowship. Allison supports student recruitment, leads electronic communication with Fellows, designs relationship-building activities for weekly workshops and student events, and oversees the Student Board of Directors and OppNet Recruitment Ambassadors.

Prior to joining the Opportunity Network, Allison was an Administrative Assistant for ELR Legal Search, where she tracked lateral movements and identified trends in practice areas. Working with partner-level recruiters, she assisted law firm clients in developing and implementing growth strategies. Allison holds a B.A. in International Relations and Leadership Studies from University of Richmond and is a 2018 alumna of the Opportunity Network Fellows program. She is also an artistic/synchronized swimmer and an accomplished classically trained soprano. Allison is featured in the films Love is Strange and Doubt, as well as Ēriks Ešenvalds’s The Woman and Her Bear; has sung backup for Josh Groban, the Rolling Stones, and Bobby McFerrin; and has been heard on Public Radio International and CBS’s The Early Show.
