Dione Lomando

As Assistant Director of Student Services and Program Operations, Dione ensures that daily and programmatic operations contribute to the highest quality of overall student services for OppNet Fellows. She oversees the master program calendar for the entire Fellows program, liaises with the operations team to secure the resources necessary for weekly workshops and student events, leads the Fellows recruitment process, and streamlines electronic communications with Fellows.

Prior to joining The Opportunity Network, Dione supported the College Success Program at Bottom Line New York as a Success Team Manager. She served for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin, West Africa teaching English as a Foreign Language. Since then, she has worked in a wide variety of education settings from creating programming and developing curriculum with an organization supporting youth experiencing homelessness to teaching English classes at a local mosque. She holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Evansville with a minor in Archaeology and certification in teaching English as a Second Language. As a student, she worked as a Resident Assistant and was involved in an archaeology club and a service fraternity.
