Katherine Laureano

As Manager of Student Services and Operations, Katherine works to ensure the coordination, planning, and implementation of first year programming for the Fellows program. In this role, she supports the daily activities and future planning of the programming activities. Prior to OppNet, Katherine worked as a Behavior and Culture Specialist for a charter school network in New York City and as a Program Coordinator for the Strive For Success program, a transitional program for first-year students at the Bronx Community College. She began her career in student support as a College Success Counselor at the College Access Center at New Settlement Apartments in the Bronx, where she is an active alumna. Katherine is passionate about working with young adults on their journeys to success. Katherine received her B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Latin American studies from the University of Rochester, where she was an active member of the Greek community and Black and Latino student organizations.
