Kimberly Cabrera

As College Guidance and Transition Program Associate, Kimberly counsels OppNet Fellows through the college application and matriculation processes. Kimberly’s background working with young people began during her undergraduate career when she served as a College Transition Coach for the CollegeBound Initiative. There, she provided students with one-on-one and group support on their college application and transition process. After graduation, Kimberly served as an in-school college counselor for the NYU Advising Corps. She also worked as a College Prep Coordinator for Pathway to Purpose where she provided early college awareness for middle schoolers. Kimberly is passionate about youth empowerment, environmental/ocean advocacy, and public health. She earned her B.S. in Marine Studies from the New York Maritime College.
