Lucria Ortiz

Lucria is an executive, attorney, and community builder. She has a 20-year multi-sector career in non-profit, government, and legal practice. She is a strategic thinker known for fundraising and optimizing resources to achieve mission impact. Lucria is a lifelong advocate for marginalized communities with expertise in programs that address poverty, youth development, education, food insecurity, housing, and violence prevention. She holds a steadfast commitment to equity and anti-racism as a regular conference speaker and workshop facilitator. Prior to joining OppNet, she worked 10 years for the YMCA, serving various communities and most recently as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Yonkers Family YMCA. Lucria sits on the YMCA of the USA National Board of Directors. She has chaired multiple multicultural affinity groups, and is a community organizer, poet, and fitness enthusiast. She is married and proudly parents two young rising leaders.

Lucria is a first-generation college and law school graduate. She earned her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Wesleyan University.
