Michael MacDougall

Michael is a Partner at Quantum and a member of QEP’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Quantum, Michael spent 20 years with TPG. As a long-time partner at TPG, he established TPG’s Industrial and Energy private equity investing efforts and served on the firm’s private equity investment committee. Over the last five years, Michael helped build the TPG Pace platform, which focused on Energy, Energy Transition and broader Impact investment opportunities. Prior to joining TPG, Michael was a vice president in the Principal Investment Area of the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he focused on private equity investments. Prior to attending business school, he was an assistant brand manager for The Procter & Gamble Co., where he focused on new product development and marketing for large-scale consumer brands. Michael is a member of the Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees and The University of Texas Development Board. He received his BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
