Raquel Vargas Palmer is a Managing Partner of KPS Capital Partners, LP, Chairperson of its Investment Committee and member of its Management Committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors for several KPS portfolio companies. KPS has approximately $12.8 billion of assets under management, and its portfolio companies have aggregate annual revenues of approximately $10.9 billion, operate 149 manufacturing facilities in 22 countries, and have nearly 35,000 employees, directly and through joint ventures worldwide. Prior to joining its predecessor and creating KPS in 1997, Raquel was an investment banker in the Paper and Forest products group with Kidder, Peabody & Co. Raquel received a degree in Political Science from Stanford University. She is the recipient of numerous honors from industry-leading publications. Most recently, Raquel was named one of the “Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A” by Mergers & Acquisitions for the third year in a row. Also, in 2018, Raquel was named one of the Notable Women in Finance by Crain’s New York Business Magazine. Raquel joined OppNet’s Board of Directors in 2018.
