Yesenia Leon is a 2021 OppNet Alum.
Why she joined the ALC: I joined the ALC because I wanted to assist alumni and give them a landing pad so that they can recover and learn something new when they visit. I want our alumni to continue to build connections with each other, with new Fellows, and with new OppNet staff. OppNet has been there for us throughout our high school and college careers, and they continue to be there for us after the fact. I want to get the word out to other Alumni that OppNet is still here, and they are still listening.
One of her favorite books: Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas
Why it's her favorite book: This book is about chance. My motto in life is you can’t get to where you want to be without taking a chance. The boy in the book took a chance and gained a family for it. And it is illustrated throughout the series. This book is an adventure and a lesson in life.
